Trendy Thursdays: Think Roofdeck

I think these shorts are super cute and definitely put me in the mind set of being at home, on your roofdeck, your friend's balcony, etc. They are so cute and just easy to wear even on the hottest of days. The Kritik Soto Short, available on ShopBop, has a little sassy sweet blend going on with its ruche detailing, ribbed elastic banding and mesh at the hem. It's not only available in this sunny color but also grey and white which I am such a fan of! If you love the shorts, you'll love the cute top that is paired with this; however, I would just wear this with a tank or wear it to cover up your bathing suit when you are running downstairs to grab more beverages from your local bodega!

Wearable Wednesday: Rock American Apparel

One of my favorite places to buy from is American Apparel! I love the idea that many of their pieces allow you to wear items in a few ways so that you can have your own look! That being said, every now and then, I like to visit their site to what is coming out soon. Take a look at this High Waisted Jersey Skirt. I love that this is so cute with the shirt that they paired with it, tanks and so much more. This is definitely cute for work or to attend an event!

Now here is this High Waisted Jersey Skirt worn as a halter dress with a cute short skirt portion on the bottom! This is so something that I would wear during Fourth of July, the Hamptons and so many more places. Put on your Grecian flip flops and you're set for shopping, brunch and so many more events in the city. Treasure Tuesdays: Accessories Step it Up

You know the other day, I was talking with a friend of mine who wanted to know about creating great pieces while keeping the cost low and the style high as well! It got me to thinking that it's always nice to know about jewelry that falls within various price points and even those that work well with items that are at higher ones. I would totally wear these Antique Medallion Earrings from Forever 21. Not only are they cute but they are definitely affordable! I also love that the antiqued look will play so well with denim outfits, jersey pieces and a lot more. The size of the earrings adds a lot of depth to outfits which will be amazing with a number of outfits. How cute will this be with a nice wide belt, ballerina slippers and of course large sunglasses which will look absolutely amazing.

Mingling Mondays: Grab Some Rain

How gross is it today? I hate days where it's not only rainy but windy as well! I love that you can at least make the best out of a wet situation by sporting cute wellies by J.Crew! Now I know that this weather is something that makes people want to take a day away from work. If this is what you plan on doing, at least make it productive by hanging out at a coffee or tea shop and finishing that good book or becoming inspired by starting something creative! I love the idea of wearing a scarf, reading glasses (whether you need them or not) and a cute pair of wellies. This is also a great day to go to a gallery as well and pick up a new artist that you have become a fan of as well. Rainy days definitely mean more than just staying inside and getting a few winks. Of course, I could never say that hanging out at home and watching Fancast isn't a bad way to  spend the day either (oh I can't wait to settle in to see more of Lipstick Jungle - is anyone else hooked)?

Snazzy Sundays: Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! There are so many ways to spend it whether it's at one of your favorite restaurants, going to a broadway show or in the comfort of your own home - you're bound to find a way to make it special. If you do have it at home and you have amazing weather, you'll want to make sure that you have it on your patio, roofdeck or whatever open space is nearby! When I look at these Water Hyacinth Pillows from West Elm, I think of all the ways that you can make your outdoor space cozy! Not only that, but Mother's Day makes me think of summer being around the corner with all of the amazing holidays that emerge. I love the idea of making your outdoor space taking on more of a natural look by making an oasis of sorts right outside. Somehow you can always make the island just at your fingertips, why not start off with making Mother's Day the kickoff to this event! Sippin Saturdays: Head Down the Rabbit Hole

Who doesn't like finding a place that people are not familiar with? It's so much fun to try something new and to make sure that other people know that you are so the go to person to finding the best picks in town! Today, I introduce you to - White Rabbit which is down in the LES and is known for its crisp and minimalist approach which is great to go with friends or to take a large group of people. As you flip through the website, you will see all the angles within this club which has a beautiful bamboo bar! I also love that this place was named after a child's candy which is available on the bar - white rabbit. When it comes to items to nibble on, they have amazing shrimp wontons and summer rolls as well. What a great way to take a rest and to leave all thoughts of the city behind as you go into this amazing venue. Take a trip down to the LES and invite some friends along.

Fashionable Fridays: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

I really love the look books that ShopBop.com has! If you're un
sure of what to wear or how to wear it, these looks can be very inspiring! I love that the scarf shown here is made by TDM Design (they were apart of the posts that I had yesterday). What I love most, is that these images incorporate so many items that you're bound to have something in your closet that can be used to be apart of this look. Once you see how much fun mixing and matching is - you'll be able to create your own looks as well! In addition, it's always fun to go through your own closet and then to work certain looks. Wearable Wednesdays: Australia Fashion Week Presents Leonard Salinas

At any given time someone is strutting on the runway wearing something fabulous and during this portion of Australian Fashion Week, Leonard Salinas' collection hit the catwalk with amazing pops of color that you can definitely see in this shot. First off, I love his silhouettes and he definitely knows how to show some of our best parts - it's nice to bring back that old elegance and to mix it up with interesting embellishment and also amazing rich hues! This is not for the faint at heart.

Now I have to say, that this beautiful grey/silver piece caught my eye since it is one of my favorite colors to wear and I loved the detailing on the neck as well. I wasn't sure if it was something that I would personally wear but I think that this shapes the body well and would be amazing to wear to an opening at a gallery, a cocktail event launching a book that just hit the New York Times or any other occassion that calls upon us to step it up when it comes to our attire. But I think the magic in this piece comes when this model gives us another view.

The back of this dress took me off guard completely and instantly this become a piece that I want in my collection ASAP. I love that this simple look completely makes this dress go from safe to daring and yet your inner Audrey never has to wonder if this is appropriate to wear to the functions mentioned above. This dress is perfect to pair with a necklace that is intended to be worn down your back and of course you hair down is perfect but having it in a messy updo of sorts wouldn't be a bad idea. If you look to the left, you'll see Lindsay Lohan sporting a series of super cute scarves.
